This was the first song that Charlie, James and Ken co-wrote together and used to play in their old band before the Hot Rails. It definitely set the pace for the Hot Rails sound and lyrical styling.
lyrics
Said I, I totally rule
Yet I, am totally full
Of excess energy
I know it's a disease
But I need a release
Don't be such a tease
Well the little hands on my leg
And the big hands on my beer
And the second hand is sweeping back and forth across the mirror
I got the will
I got the power
I got the girl to take me into the bitchin' hour
The bitchin' hour
Said I, I am totally real
And you, will totally feel
Of electricity
So darlin' if you please get on your knees
And see what I mean
Well the little hands on my leg
And the big hands on my beer
And the second hand is sweeping back and forth across the mirror
I got the will
I got the power
I got the girl to take me into the bitchin' hour
The bitchin' hour
I, am totally sweet
And you, can totally see
a light shining off of me so fresh and heavenly
And so it shall be
Well the little hands on my leg
And the big hands on my beer
And the second hand is sweeping back and forth across the mirror
I got the will
I got the power
I got the girl to take me into the bitchin' hour
The bitchin' hour

To me this is like 70ies Heavy Metal in nearly all aspects. I can understand the comparisons to Motörhead but to me they don’t really sound like them, except maybe for the Heavy Blue style lead breaks. What they do have is the drive, gravelly vocals and swagger of Motörhead. This they have that in buckets. Super fun Heavy Metal/Hard Rock that just doesn’t age. Harry Harrison
